Gohan Farms Opens

After 8 days of construction we finished the chicken coop this afternoon.

Michele and Kanohi went and bought two Rhode Island Red chicks. It will be 5 months before the begin laying eggs.

The roof shingles still need to be installed but the coop is weather tight.

I'm calling it "Gohan Farm" as in the Japanese word for 'rice' and food/meals.

Kanohi named one of the chicks 'Mary'
I named the other Hiru. As in hiru gohan - Japanese for 'lunch'.
